Back in March we highlighted the fact a number of ‘pop up’ companies are going around offering remapping services. If you’re considering an ECU remapping service you should be aware we have had two customers in the last week who both thought they had their cars remapped by supposedly professional companies.
When the cars were checked on our dyno they were not making a power increase at all. Further checking to the software showed one cars software was 100% original. The second car had some changes made but ultimately the most important settings were missed.
We think that if you don’t know the company you are using it is vital to have your car properly tested on a dyno so all changes can be verified and to make sure you are not being ripped off. We can do run a Dyno Test on any car for €30 which will includ a printout.
